A Day in the Life

Hi Y’all!

The weather here is perfect!  I doesn’t get any better!  Lazy mornings on the porch while the Humans eat their fruit.  Lazy walks down the pier with them so they can enjoy their coffee.  Evenings spent listening to the birds as they readied for bed, watching the night creep in and the frogs sing, gators croak and occasional squawks from geese or wading birds.  Life doesn’t get any better.  The picture to the right is some cherished time walking with my Human Papa.

Wading birds are a huge part of life at the shore.  I’ve shown you pictures of the Egrets perched in the tree tops here.  Now let me show you a Great Blue Heron perched in the top of one of the cypress.  Look closely and you can make out his talons. His feet are very similar to the Egrets.

Below are some flower pictures.

Hope y’all enjoyed your visit. Now I have to go take a nap.

  4. It sounds like summertime there! I love those summer days with porch time, birds singing, gator snapping (oops, I didn't mean that!).

Lovely Egret, Irises, and roses. I'll enjoy your spring while we wait for ours!

  5. It is SO pretty where you live. Jack is a city dog, through and through, but hopefully The Mister and I can rent a cottage this summer and give him a little vacation up north.

The blue heron is perhaps my favorite bird. Thanks for blue heron fix.
