Yesterday was a busy day for the Humans…lots of gardening. Today my Human goes to Bible Study. Then, she said, she needs to come home to do battle with more weeds. I’m getting downright jealous of these weeds! She’s spending more time with them than me!
My Human gets so sore she can hardly move after all that work. That means I have to look after her.
Y’all know what those green leaves are?
Sage (here)asked me if little alligators grew into BIG alligators. Yes they do! When they get to be 12 to 14 feet the DNR usually shoots them. If you remember this picture, it is where an alligator usually winters. The drought is so bad this year that only a small isolated pool of water remains. Where we are standing to take the photo is usually water. When the alligator leaves in the spring it becomes a nice nesting spot for ducks. If the drought continues, no ducks will nest there this year.
This is a picture of me on the pier in 2009.
This picture below is looking in the other direction toward the main body of water.
Below is looking the same direction this past February 2011.
There is no water up underneath the pier.
Time for a nap.
Y’all come back now!
