Hi Y’all!
About Saturday’s post “Still Climbing”
“Hey, Hawk, you look like you're hunting something. Did you find it?”
Oh yes! and to find out what I found check out tomorrow’s post!
On Sunday’s post “My World in Black n White”
“Ya know, you look equally good in Black and white as you do in Sepia ! HA!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
And.....whats it like living in black and white ?
lol :P

In winter black and white is easy…there isn’t much color…everything outside is pretty much black and white…especially if it snows…
Mischief Monday’s post “What Do You Mean!?” brought quite a few comments…
“Are you sticking with your weight loss plan? I know it's hard in the winter to get your exercise in, but spring will be here soon!”
“Are you really still gaining weight, Hawk? I thought you were already on a diet restriction. Is it because you can't work out as much with all this icky weather?”
“I see you all the time running around in your pictures.... why are you getting fat? :P”
“I don't think you're fat Hawk! Who is saying that?”
Sigh~
Who is saying I’m fat? Why it’s my Human! (but she’s gained weight this winter too!)
Am I sticking to the vet’s diet restrictions…YES! I get fruit and vegies for treats.
Two things contribute to my weight gain…my injury and the weather…exercise restrictions, mine, and weather, which effected my Human too.
Finally, yesterday’s post brought some weather questions…
“Wow! Is that fog coming in over the mountains? It gives the mountains such a misty, mysterious feel. Great photos, Hawk!
Oz”
It’s snow and sleet moving across the mountains. We often watch similar scenes as storms approach. In the summer we can see rain approaching too.

“You thinking of scaling that mountain, Hawk? Looks like it'd be one heck of a climb!”
While our southeastern mountains include some of the highest peaks in the east, it is too warm to have tree line found in lower elevations in the northern part of these mountains.
My Human and I used to run a trail in those mountains. Then they started closing the park in the fall and only opening it in June for the rhododendrons.
Thunderstorms and almost daily rains racing around the mountains has kept the trail too treacherous for running during the summer the last couple of years.
Please note the last 2 photos were taken when I was a wee bit younger and fitter. Sigh~…
Please note that we are in a state of emergency here. Everything is coated in ice. Our posts for today and tomorrow are scheduled, I just may not be able to link up with y’all.
Y’all come back now!
Fruit and veg treats? Drats Hawk hope you get back fit and trim soon. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Hawk, this talk of you being "fat" must stop! Maybe you have a little extra Winter coating to keep you warm through the cold months...maybe mom does too. BOL So that was snow coming over the mountains? How cool! I love your mountain views. Hey pal, please stay safe and warm over the next couple of days. I'll be thinking of ya and trying to send you some sunshine!

You sure do get a lot of fun comments, Hawk. :) We actually get more exercise in winter. I'd rather bundle up and walk in the cold than walk in the summer heat. The heat can be hard on Maya and Pierson too.
ReplyDeleteHey Hawk, glad you're sticking with your plan - my mom makes me eat veggies too, but I'm getting to like them. Stay safe in that ice storm!
ReplyDeleteHawkEye . BrownDog. You are not fat! You are a beautiful pup!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics as always, buddy.

I am so glad you got your power back and were able to join Barks and Bytes. The south sure has had their fair share of winter this year. I love all of the pictures. I think you still look that same as in your younger days Hawk. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Hawk, thanks so much for joining Barks and Bytes! I do hope you retained your electricity and all is well in your world.
ReplyDeleteWe got snow, and a thin layer of sleet on top of it, but so far we are good.
As for the weight, with the snow and injuries at our house, I've cut back just a tiny bit on S&D's food, which seems to be keeping them from gaining.
Stay safe and warm and have a wonderful weekend.
Happy Valentine's Day!!
