I hope you don't every destroy your green toy! What would you do then? Mom knows a Chessie lady here and we have seen some at nose work tests. You are sort of like curly retrievers, but then again not. Always love your "out in nature" photos.

P1370979

Don’t worry, it’s a Kong toy!  Besides I’m a well behaved senior now and don’t chew as hard or as much on my toys as I did as a young fellow!

Now, on to the BIG question y’all want answered!

Love these photos, where are they from?

P1380853

Yep!  I’m back home at the shore!  The weather, for this time of year in the south, is cool…like 90’s.  The cold front means it’ll be high 80’s.  Not too shabby!

The breezes off the water keeps it feelin’ quite comfy if your just out for a walk.

Now, on to Sepia Saturday’s post

easyweimaraner said...

Is that the bridge over troubled water of that song? have a wonderful summer-saturday!

P1380889

You could say it’s the bridge over troubled waters ‘cause gators and snakes have been spotted in the area.

My regular readers know my Humans are very vigilant when we’re walkin’ along any waterfront path.

P1380957

Sunday’s close up, Do You See What I See? drew these questions…

P1380894

I heard the back door close and I think I hear my Human Papa comin’ to join us, but the grass is too high to see him!

Now lets look at some of the questions from Mischief Monday’s post

P1380902

easyweimaraner said...

you better should eat that squirrel than the figs. we have a fig tree too, but one without figs and without squirrels... maybe we should exchange our trees? I hope you FIGured out that problem in your tummy and all is ok. Have you chased away the two intruders?

Harleo - Adventures of Two Golden Doodles said...

Whoa - you were busy this week weren't you? Can't wait to see what you're working on for next week BOL

P1380960

As for the intruders, I just raced out and both dogs stopped.  We circled, sniffed, recognized each other, then I returned to the Human who gave me a pat, no treat.  Evidently I didn’t respond to Human’s command quickly enough.

As for eating the squirrel instead…my Human won’t even let me chase ‘em!

Sam said...

Oh pretty! What kind of flowers are in the first picture?

Monty and Harlow

P1380818

Ah, those are some kind of a lily growing on, or out of the rocks below our house.  Butterflies love it!

Oz theTerrier said...

Uh, Hawk...is that a bumper that looks like a tail or do you actually have someone's tail in your mouth? :-O I love all the butterflies...WOW! So many! Thank you for sharing your world, my friend.
Oz

P1380930

Ah, it’s a squeaky log with a coon tail…coon hidin’ in a log!  It’s a favorite that is usually the last retrieve when I’m training.  My Human uses it as a reward.  My Human doesn’t recall where she got it, or the manufacturer.

easyweimaraner asks...

Mother Nature is an artist, that's beautiful! Are that nuts in the tree?

P1380873

P1380920

Not sure which tree you’re asking about.  The top is a cypress bearing it’s seeds.  These cypress, unlike Leyland cypress, are deciduous.  The seeds are called cones.  There are multiple seeds.  There are several kinds of deciduous cypress.  The ones you usually recognize are the bald cypress with the knees, many of which you will see in photos of me on our beach walk.  I’m walking past an obvious one in this photo…

P1380930

You can see lots of smaller ones around me and one peeking out of the water behind me, just at the end of my tail.

Disgusting Mischief

Hi Y’all!

P1380910

As y’all probably remember, we have a fig tree.  (If yesterday’s post didn’t tell you where I am, this tree’s a big hint as to where I ended up in Fridays’ post)

 P1380952

This fig tree is covered with ripening figs right now and all kinds of birds, including orioles, mocking and blue jays are covering the tree to peck each fig as it ripens.

P1360951

To add to the competition, that pesky squirrel has been all over the tree!

P1380964

These critters and fowl knock lots of figs off.

While my Humans were trying to pick some figs off the tree, I went behind the hedge and ate and ate the ones that had fallen on the ground.

P1380963

Big problem!  I’d just had my dinner.  When we went back inside I wasn’t feelin’ so good.  Oh, dear! Retch!! and all of my supper and partially digested figs came up.

My Human cleaned everything up.

P1380927

All evening I was hungry and the mean woman wouldn’t give me more supper! It was all her fault for not paying attention to me!

P1380960

I haven’t been near that tree or eaten a fig since!  I did check out the pears on the ground.  No I didn’t eat any.

P1380913

But that wasn’t the only thing we got into last week…

Murphy & Stanley are hosting Fractured Fryday Hairy Tails that started on 7-25-14.   See their 7-7-14 post for all of the details, then join in on the 25th to participate.

Well, I had my post all planned out and then I got to writin’ it and I got it wrong!  My Human was workin’ hard ‘cause she has a couple of deadlines comin’ up and I didn’t get the computer ‘til late.

P1380914

She’s the editor and didn’t catch my error!   I left out the part with the box!!!  THE DARNED BOX!

See, this is a diary of my life, so I didn’t want to make it a fairy tail…it had to be real…but I forgot the box, and the Human didn’t catch it.

P1380915

My final mischief happened Saturday when my Human opened the garage door and outside were 2 neighbor dogs.  Despite her command, I tore out the door to check out the invaders!

P1380917

So this week has just been filled with mischief!  I think I’ve been in trouble more than I’ve been out.

P1380884

Now let’s go join Alfie’s Blog, Snoopy’s Dog Blog and My Brown Newfies.for some more good fun and mischief…

Y’all come by now!
