Hi Y’all!
Today I’m joining Thursday’s Barks and Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog.
I’m also linkin’ up with Ruckus the Eskie and Love is Being Owned by a Husky in Thoughtless Thursday.
I’m startin’ off with last weeks Barks…
I hope you don't every destroy your green toy! What would you do then? Mom knows a Chessie lady here and we have seen some at nose work tests. You are sort of like curly retrievers, but then again not. Always love your "out in nature" photos.
Don’t worry, it’s a Kong toy! Besides I’m a well behaved senior now and don’t chew as hard or as much on my toys as I did as a young fellow!
Now, on to the BIG question y’all want answered!
Where did you go Hawk? We love the lilies and the colours are so vibrant. Have a fabulous Friday.
Best wishes Molly
It this a cliff hanger post??? Where did you go? We have some lilies in our yard, they are quite pretty. Happy Friday!
Yes, where did you go? Great pics!

Beautiful flowers. You did make it back???
Love these photos, where are they from?
Yep! I’m back home at the shore! The weather, for this time of year in the south, is cool…like 90’s. The cold front means it’ll be high 80’s. Not too shabby!
The breezes off the water keeps it feelin’ quite comfy if your just out for a walk.
Now, on to Sepia Saturday’s post…
Is that the bridge over troubled water of that song? have a wonderful summer-saturday!
You could say it’s the bridge over troubled waters ‘cause gators and snakes have been spotted in the area.
My regular readers know my Humans are very vigilant when we’re walkin’ along any waterfront path.
Sunday’s close up, Do You See What I See? drew these questions…
What are you looking at, Hawk?
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Monty and Harlow
Tried to see in the reflection in your eyes...but too small...what's up Hawk?
Look at those beautiful eyes!!! I would love to know what you are looking at!
Unless you see your own eyeball then I do not think I see what you see, Hawk! I hope you had a pawtastic weekend, my pal!
Oz
Squirrel? Rabbit?
I see some trees I think in your eyes. What a beautiful picture. Have a great Sunday.
I see an eye!

The truth is I see some trees and some marsh grass but not what I’m straining to see…
I heard the back door close and I think I hear my Human Papa comin’ to join us, but the grass is too high to see him!
Now lets look at some of the questions from Mischief Monday’s post…
you better should eat that squirrel than the figs. we have a fig tree too, but one without figs and without squirrels... maybe we should exchange our trees? I hope you FIGured out that problem in your tummy and all is ok. Have you chased away the two intruders?
Whoa - you were busy this week weren't you? Can't wait to see what you're working on for next week BOL
So much mischief and so little time, right Hawk??
Smileys!
Dory, Jakey, Arty and Bilbo
As for the intruders, I just raced out and both dogs stopped. We circled, sniffed, recognized each other, then I returned to the Human who gave me a pat, no treat. Evidently I didn’t respond to Human’s command quickly enough.
As for eating the squirrel instead…my Human won’t even let me chase ‘em!
We never saw a fig tree in our life! Thanks for the FFHT shout out. There is a more current badge you can opy off our bloggy that says "Last Friday of the month". Hope you can tell your story next month!!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Finally, we have yesterday’s post…
Hey there Hawk - so glad we saw u in the WW Blog Hop cuz it reminded us Beaglebratz tue stop by - How ya duin'tue-day? Thoze r sum purty pikchurez - u got sum purty nice livin'space. We just got a plain old bakyard with one big bush an'no flowerz-cept sum weedz.

I’m doin’ great! How ‘bout y’all?
Oh pretty! What kind of flowers are in the first picture?
Monty and Harlow
Ah, those are some kind of a lily growing on, or out of the rocks below our house. Butterflies love it!
Uh, Hawk...is that a bumper that looks like a tail or do you actually have someone's tail in your mouth? :-O I love all the butterflies...WOW! So many! Thank you for sharing your world, my friend.
Oz
Ah, it’s a squeaky log with a coon tail…coon hidin’ in a log! It’s a favorite that is usually the last retrieve when I’m training. My Human uses it as a reward. My Human doesn’t recall where she got it, or the manufacturer.
easyweimaraner asks...
Mother Nature is an artist, that's beautiful! Are that nuts in the tree?
Not sure which tree you’re asking about. The top is a cypress bearing it’s seeds. These cypress, unlike Leyland cypress, are deciduous. The seeds are called cones. There are multiple seeds. There are several kinds of deciduous cypress. The ones you usually recognize are the bald cypress with the knees, many of which you will see in photos of me on our beach walk. I’m walking past an obvious one in this photo…
You can see lots of smaller ones around me and one peeking out of the water behind me, just at the end of my tail.
Maybe you ended up some place with beautiful flowers? Great shots!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Ah, I did! I left my magical high country world to land in another magical place in the low country.
Fortunately for me we are having a cool summer just about everywhere!
If y’all read Murphy and Stanley’s first comment, you’ll know he has a more current badge for the Fractured Friday blog hop. (click to travel to the info) It will be the last Friday of each month.
Y’all be sure to stop by for a special tour post on Sepia Saturday! Have to go now!
Y’all hurry back now!
Wow, I'm glad there was a bridge over the gators and their sneaky friends. It's great that you have cypresses everywhere, we have to buy them in store. And they live not long although I water them every day :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat no chasing squirrels? That sucks Hawk. My peeps couldn't stop me if she tried. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
You have cypress trees... are those cypress KNEES/Knobs that we see in a couple of pictures?
ReplyDeleteGreat Dawg, Hawk! There was so much going on in your world this past week! I don't know how you keep up with it all. I hope you are enjoying your time at the shore.
ReplyDeleteOz
Great post! Those figs make me crave them again! We had neighbors who grew them and would dangle over at times. Too bad they trimmed it down :/
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing on Thoughtless Thursday with us!
Great follow up Hawk! thanks for answering everyones questions!

Aw dog! Those flowers and figs and nuts are pretty and all, but I like the idea of a cookie factory much better. Maybe I should just eat my lunch and be quiet.

You sure were busy this week Hawk! I love your follow-up. Thanks so much for joining the blog hop!
ReplyDeleteYou have so much going on, Hawk! It is hard to believe that it is cool where you are too....we are having a very cool summer here in the Northeast. Of course, what is cool to you would probably feel hot to us!
ReplyDeleteJan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
I missed the post of you with a coon tail toy. That looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great follow up, somehow I think I missed some pictures and posts, what beautiful photos, all of them. Enjoy your time at the shore!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic time at the shore!
