We had an ice storm on top of our snow Wednesday. The higher mountain gaps were closed to traffic. We had to cross the mountains Thursday and yesterday. Strangely it was much warmer up here than in the valleys. There were hairy moments and I got to go in case the Humans couldn’t make it back home in the evening. Weather makes for some beautiful mornings!
Beautiful Photos! Are you ready for spring yet? We are! Another 10 degree morning here with more snow predicted this week. I have a feeling we're in for another long winter like last year. Hope you have a great week, Keep Warm & have a Very Merry Christmas!

While ice storms make roads no fun, I just love when trees are covered in a thin layer of ice :)

Those are some beautiful morning pictures! Thanks for sharing. We are kind of excited here in low land Furrginia because we might have snow on Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are amazing! The place you live is soooo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Though I do hope the weather calms down a little. That sounds a little too frightening.
ReplyDeleteWow great pictures!
ReplyDeleteWe are pretty mobile here now. Only the least traveled roads are restricted to chains and four-wheel. We are totally fortunate to live beside the ski resort because they attack our roads so fast after every storm.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny to hear someone else say what mystifies most people. We do the same thing - on bad winter weather days, the dogs go with us when we go down 3000' to town - just in case we get stuck there!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are gorgeous! I love your mountains.
