Tuesday’s Tale…Adopt a Shelter Dog

Hi Y’all!

It’s me, Hawk!  It’s October!  It’s autumn color and cooler weather.  What better time to adopt a dog into your family?

It’s “Adopt a Shelter Dog Month”…

For information about how to choose the right dog for your family check the ASPCA web site and Petfinder.

Also stop by to see SlimDoggy for tips on what to do before and after bringing your new friend home.

Now, my family is retriever oriented…you need to be active to keep a retriever happy!  So, if you’re lookin’ for a retriever…

Aisen

Aisen still has her paws crossed, wishing for her own family to love.  Aisen was featured again in March. Her Petfinder Page is HERE.  She is living at HomewardBound in Kentucky.

Back in 2011 I featured Johnny…

He is with the Lifeline Animal Project in Atlanta, GA.  He is a really sweet.

And finally there is Iggy

 . Iggy .

He is the hunting dog whose owner had to give him up.  We featured him in September (here).  He is with

Last Chance Rescue in Howell, MI 48844

If a retriever is right for your family, check these dogs to see if one is “a match” for your family.

Now let’s join up with Tuesday’s Tails blog hop hosted by Dogs N Pawz and Talking Dogs. This is the blog hop that features shelter pets.

  1. They are all such beautiful dogs. It makes us sad that there are SO many in shelters...people need to ADOPT, not SHOP!! Thanks for this reminder Hawk. We sure do hope that all of them find their furever homes really soon!! xo Chloe and LadyBug (ps...please tell your mom that our mama finally figured out how to change the light colored text...so her eyes should be able to see the words better now!!) (It was making her CRAZY!) xo Chloe and LadyBug
