Gizmo answered that in his question: Is that a Great Blue Heron partying with those Egrets?
Emily asks: “Did anything happen?”
The great blue heron held his own…after all he fishes there daily, year in and year out.

My British Blogville friend seems to have developed an accent of the southeastern USA, don’t you think? And yes, Penny, it does appear to be a long furry tongue, doesn’t it? Instead it’s a fun toy! More on that later!
Sugar asks “You got a new toy, Did you?“
It isn’t new, but I don’t play with it all the time. I’ve collected lots of toys and I take turns playing with different ones. I hadn’t played with this one for awhile, so you haven’t seen it recently.
Sugar says “If you hoping for some SNOW I think it is coming soon”
We have to go to the mountains to find snow. No snow at the shore…too warm, even this time of year.

Hawk is such a gorgeous dog...I love all the pictures you post of him...We had a headstart on the Great blue...They fish in the lake across from our house every day...at least until Gizmo spies one and tries to catch it (No he's never even come close)
