Tuesday Times

Hi Y’all!

P1140785

I need to have a very serious discussion with y’all.

Do y’all see my pearly whites?  Do you have pearly whites like mine?  It’s very important to keep them that way.  It is a matter of health…your physical health.  It doesn’t matter whether you are Human or pawed, brushing your teeth and regular dental visits are important.

Check your dog’s gums.  They get gingivitis just like people.

If your dog is slowing down, suffering arthritis or his eating habits have changed, it may be his teeth.  Getting his teeth cleaned may make him “like a pup” again.

Y’all come back now!

  6. I agree and have started brushing Fozzie and Lamar's teeth regularly. It is a really fun, whole new way to bond with them :) Thanks for the reminder!

  7. that is super important advice. Being a Sheltie, they are sometimes prone to teeth issues. The vet said that "long-nosed dogs tend to have that problem" (Don't know why he has to go and insult my nose, but I digress) Mom is kinda bad about brushing, she has to get better with that for sure! She does give me dental bones though!

  8. It's funny you mention this. Sampson is going to the groomer's to see if she can clean his teeth today. I had talked to the vet about having it done in the spring but the groomer and my trainer don't think I should put him under for it, so we're trying it this way first. I'll let you know how it goes.
