Hi Y’all!
Before I start addressing your barks, I’d like to take a moment to offer our sympathy to the families who lost loved ones in the horrendous storms this week. We are keeping everyone who suffered the loss of homes and businesses in our prayers also.
About last weeks post “Unconsentaneous” I got lots of barks!
Molly The Wally said...
“Oh dear Hawk wondering why you are so unconsentaneous? Love that word. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly”

“Oh noes, they aren't being mean with food are they??”
“Hmmmm.....wonder what your hoomans did? Curious!

I answered the above questions on Virid, the green world post last Friday…
“My eyes were still botherin’ me, so we returned to the vet…
“But I haven’t gotten to the worst part! Despite my allergy shots my belly was breaking out again. But that isn’t all…there is the perpetual scale!
“I was already on a diet and my rations had been cut, but the vet changed my food and cut my ration even more!
“But that isn’t the worst of it! Because of my rash I’m not allowed in the water! NO SWIMMING!!!”

“What's that you're carrying? A giant (if you'll pardon the expression) hotdog? You wish!”
BOL!!! The hotdog is one of my training bumpers. It floats if launched into water. I retrieve them on land too.
I received the following remarks about the unfair, in my opinion, restrictions on my fun!
“Awww Hawk! That's just not fair!!! No water??? OUCH!!!! I know your hoomans are just trying to protect you though. They are doing what is right. Even though it sucks THE BIG ONE! I am so sorry about your eyes too. Poor thing!

“Hawk, what the dog is going on over there? I do not believe the scale said 103...that is ridiculous. Even more ridiculous is that you are now having your foods super rationed! You could starve...don't they realize this? And no swimming for a retriever? What will they think of next? (Though I can appreciate that it's probably not good for your allergy rash, of which I am sporting one of my own. This allergy season stinks!)
Oz”
I’m so glad that Oz and the Husky pack agree with me about the absolute error of my Humans’ ways!
Then we come to My World in Black and White and I got these queries…
“oh is that the way we see the birds? It's not easy to get them, lol. Have a super sunday!”
“Interesting...birds???”
Dolly theDoxie said...
“Very neat, they're birds right? Its cool to see the background in detail for a change! Love Dolly”
“Is that your goose friend? Hope all is well.”
Instead of answering in words, I’ll show y’all the photo, in color, of the same bird in focus…
Mischief Monday was filled with mischief of all kinds! I got quite a few comments…
“Oh no Hawk what is it? We could not tell from the photo. You must tell us. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly”
“I couldn't tell either!! WhAT is it? Is it a gator?”
Unfortunately the photo was taken at dawn and my Human didn’t have the camera set fast enough to get a clear photo. Evidently some of y’all have experience with the little devil…
“Is that a beaver in the last shot?
Looks like you live in a place with lots of interesting wildlife!”
“Is a beaver building a dam outta your stick pile? Those guys just cannot help themselves when it comes to building stuff.
Happy Monday, Hawk!
Oz”
“You have beavers? WAY COOL! I hear they're difficult pelts to clean and tan. ;)

“Hmmm beaver? They are bad brush stealers! Holy tons of mischief!!!!!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!”
“Is that a beaver causing all the ruckus?”
“You must have a new beaver friend? They like sticks and helping you trim up trees. Sorry about your sore eyes buddy.”
Oh yes, it is a mischievous beaver trying his best to build a dam that will effectively block our boat lift. I’ve been doing my best to harass them by peeing all around it and on it!
Finally about yesterday’s post…
“Wood ducks? They're beautiful! I hope you show us photos of their family soon!
www.dogtreatweb.com”
“You have tons of zoomagnetism, Hawk! Love the ducks! Did you chase them?
Happy WW,
Oz”
Since we live in a protected area and my Human hunts with her camera and doesn’t want me to scare the birds and fowl, I’m not allowed to chase. However, wood ducks are exceptionally skittish and difficult to photograph. We were inside when the wood ducks landed on the lawn, so even if I wanted to chase them I couldn’t.
Have a wonderful May Day!!!
Y’all come back now!
OMD it was a stick stealer. Wow wed love to see a beaver but we never have. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Happy May Day to you! You sure live in a pretty area. I am really bummed for you not being able to swim. That is a horrid punishment from yourself. Combine that with the food shortage and it is really bad! Hope you manage to have fun despite all those problems :)Love all your pretty photos!
ReplyDeleteHope the swimming ban and the lack of food end soon!
ReplyDeleteI cross my paws that your allergies will disappear and you can enjoy food and water. Our May Day is a holiday, where we celebrate the labour while being lazy :o) Have a great May Day too!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining the hop! Gosh your poor eye. Hope you are better soon. Pesky beaver. Be careful of those, they can be meanies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the summary Hawk - beavers - wow, that must be way cool. Hope your eye & allergy gets better soon so you can get back in the water for summer!
ReplyDeleteWow - those cardinal photos are really great!
ReplyDeleteI guess living in a protected area guarantees you lots of good wildlife, which is awesome!
I know beavers are often thought to be pests and can be difficult, but I think they're pretty cool/smart animals. And they're pretty cute.
Beautiful flower pictures at the end there. I hope you get feeling better soon,
ReplyDeleteHi Hawk! Thanks for joining the blog hop!
ReplyDeleteI'm so "duh" I never even though beaver!! LOL What would a gator be doing with sticks?
Poor you and your allergies, it's being a very tough year for allergies so far. I do hope you are feeling better soon!!
Look how pretty your azaleas are! And I'm hungry. Now I want hot dogs. :(

Hope you can swim again soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great May Day post, Hawk! I sure hope your rash is doing better. Mine has pretty much cleared thanks to the old Benadryl. AND...I sure hope someone is sneaking you some extra rations. You need to keep your energy up for all that running you do!
ReplyDeleteHappy May Day.
Oz
You've had quite a week, Hawk, and I hope things get better with your eyes and allergies soon.
ReplyDeleteI also hope you can scare the beavers away so they don't mess with your boat launch!
