Hi Y’all!
On Monday January 6 I posted about the weather mischief! I was talkin’ about the argument Ol’ Man Winter and Mother Nature just keep havin’!
“They have that same argument all the time don't they? Love that head shot of Hawk...so handsome”
“Yes we are all to familiar with the natirenwars over here in Ontario Canada!
Although our snow has not fully melted we have had extra warm days...FREEZING cold days.....flash freeze warnings today and a ton of freezing rain....grrr I just wish for white fluffy snow, not to cold just cold enough...
Is that to much to bark for???
((Husky hugz))
"Love is being owned by a husky"”
That doesn’t sound like too much to bark for to me!
That brings me to Wordless Wednesday, January 8th…

“Ya know, its funny that when us humans were younger, it was like a big thing for people to try and touch their tongue to their nose....you dogs it just comes naturally eh? LOL

“Please, Hawk, tell me you didn't just eat yellow snow?”

“Did you eat something DELISH or its the snow on the ground? Happy BlogPaws WW. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar”
No folks, I didn’t eat any snow of any color…or anything off of the ground…
Ah…y’all…you humans can’t lick your nose???

“Thinking of something yummy?”
No, I’m thinkin’ of racin’ up and down the hill again!
On last Friday’s Pet Bloggers Challenge everyone had such kind comments! Thank y’all so much!
On Sepia Saturday,
“not too far off normal, is it? :)”
If I do say so myself, you definitely have a point there!
“Does this mean you're a saturday sepia and a black and white sunday?”
It surely does!
“You are running down the hill or your mom's shot it on an angle? Happy Black n White Sunday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar”
We’re in the mountains and I was racing down hill!
Then we moved on to Mischief Unmeant…Monday January 13th. We had gotten a break in the weather late last week and the Humans and I went out for a hike…
“Ruh roh...I think your mom was the victim of your mischief and I bet that wasn't a happy moment for her judging by those pants!”
I hate to disappoint y’all, but my Human managed that disaster all by herself. Some parts of the trail were thawed, some weren’t, everything was wet and slippery. Since we are in the moutains, the trail is up and down hill. We did avoid the really steep trails.
I was loping on ahead…
Then I heard an “oooff…” and I turned…
saw her on the ground and
and I ran back to help her up.
“Ummm... blood? You hurt your foot? Oh my, what happened?!”
“I have never thought of muddy pants as mischief... Adventure yes, mischief no. BUTT what about your paw there Hawk? What happened there?
Blessings,
Goose”
“Uh-oh...the evidence I see here tells me there was a bit of an accident!”
“HAWK!!!! Are you okay buddy? All that blood and a bandage on your paw. Did you break a nail to the quick? I did that once hiking - I bled like a stuck pig! I sure hope it was something minor.
*healing thoughts*
Oz”
“Rut-roh...that doesn't look good, Hawk! What happened?”
“Oh no, none of that looks good, Hawk! I hope you are all OK! Did someone fall?
Jan, Wag 'n Woof Pets”

“oh oh, is that mud or blood ?
perhaps a mix of both?
something looks hurt
hope you are (all) OK xoxo”
“What happened?!?
Are you okay?!? “
“oh no are you ok?
Stop on by for a visit
Kari”

“Uh oh. did you make that happen, Hawk? A hike with Maya has made me fall in the mud a time or two.”
“Hmmm...mud and?”
For those of you who were worried about blood…NO BLOOD! Red clay mud!
As for me…well…I was flyin’ and slippin’ and slidin’ …and I came up lame with swellin’ in my pastern just below my ankle…
so my Human, thinkin’ I was a small horse, said I needed stall rest. Then she proceeded to treat me with a massage, full body I might add, ice packs, that’s what’s on my leg…liniment…
the whole spa treatment!
I wasn’t sure what “stall rest” meant, but then my Human Papa told me Mama meant “bed rest”…NOT GOOD!
On Wordless Wednesday…
“What happened Hawk? We must have missed something. Glad you are enjoying your memories, Goose is right, you'll be making new ones soon”
“Dreaming of running and playing, Hawk?”
“..but what happened to your poor paw, Hawk? Hope you fix up real soon!”
“What happened? Hope your dreams can come true soon!”
The swelling has gone down now and I’m so sick of this “stall rest” thing!
I can run and race around just fine, though my Human tries to keep me from too much racing about. I still have a tiny limp when I jog.
I just feel like I’m going to EXPLODE!
For those of you who asked about the snow…it doesn’t last long. Unless we get a rare “big snow”, it goes away, often the same day as soon as the sun comes out.
Y’all hurry back now!
BOL funny defrosting your nose. We so know about the slipping thing. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
You've had a busy week! Hope your "stall rest" is over soon. They're the worst for active dogs.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you haven't stopped all week. Lots of FitDog Fun.....
ReplyDeleteI understand about Mom doing that to her own pants. My mom takes a tumble 1-2 times a year. We all assume she wants to play, so after she lands we run over and jump around on her which she really, really loves! Glad to see at least a little bit of snow out there for you! TGIF!
ReplyDeleteGreat follow-up Hawk, thank you for joining and for always supporting FUF hop. As I mentioned in my post, please feel free to use the follow-up format on Friday's it just won't be a hop anymore. If I recall, you were my first co-host. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your injury is nothing serious and that your human wasn't hurt in the fall.
Have an awesome weekend and I hope to see you around on Thursday's Bark and Bytes hop. :-)
Rest that leg and you will be back at it in no time.
ReplyDeleteNext time I have an injury, I am going to come for a visit and get some of that spa treatment.
-Slimdoggy
Wilhelm HATED the bed rest bed rest he had last week, Hawk: http://www.cascadiannomads.com/1/post/2014/01/you-cant-keep-a-fit-dog-down.html That sure sounds like a nice spa treatment, though. SlimDoggy Steve is right, your house is the place to be when injured! Thanks for coming by our blog for a Fit Dog Friday today; wanted you to know that Bethany never ties the dogs in front of a store unless she can see them the whole time she is in the store- she never let's the dogs out of her sight! Also I saw your comment over at Emma's blog and there are balance balls for horses like you and Huxley! We use four slightly-larger-than paw sized balls that all three sizes of our dogs (and even our cat) can workout on. They're even good for ankle strengthening once your healed up! Have a great weekend, y'all! :)
ReplyDeleteResting is only fun for human grown ups and sloths. NOT FUN FOR DOGS. Come see what we did with Burger King crowns. ;)
ReplyDeletewww.dogtreatweb.com
Oh, so, so glad that it was just mud and not blood and that you only had some swelling and nothing was broken or cut. Phew! I can rest easy now knowing you will be running and playing as usual in no time. Have a great weekend, Hawk!
ReplyDeleteOz
Ah, so that's what "stall rest" means! I was confused if it meant they kept you in a stall! Glad you're on the mend, Hawk! Niles is right there with you :)
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad no one was hurt too seriously, and that you are on the mend, Hawk. It is certainly no fun to have to be on bed rest, but I bet you'll be back to 100% very soon.
ReplyDeleteYour human is so good to you, giving you the whole spa treatment!
Jan, Wag 'n Woof Pets
So glad you are better. You have to behave and not get hurt anymore. Great FUF with great pictures.
ReplyDeleteWow that was quite the typo I left ya there about mother nature huh? Sorry bout that!!! BOL!!!! Guess I should proof read even my comments!!! But anyways thanks for responding to them!
ReplyDelete((Husky hugz)) and have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteI hope your foot feels better soon. All those walks in the mud sure sound like fun to Ike and Kelly.
ReplyDeleteIf only the snow stayed a little longer, it wouldn't get so muddy. I'm glad it was red clay mud and not blood.
ReplyDeleteTexWisGirl said exactly what I was thinking regarding Sepia Saturday. :)
Your injury sounds similar to the one that landed Thunder in a cast in Fall 2012. Glad it wasn't too serious and you are running again. :)
