Hi Y’all!
Yep, the Humans finally listened to me and returned to the shore!
The first thing I wanted to do was walk on the beach!
I checked everyplace to see who had been there in my absence.
Around the bend on the above point is one of the places I like to wade in and cool off…you know if we get our feet cool it helps keep our body temperature down. We can’t sweat like you Humans.
The big pine on the far left is where a pair of geese is nesting.
So into the water I wade…
I didn’t pay any attention to the goose…they always ignore me anyway.
My Human didn’t get any pictures of what happened next ‘cause she was too busy blowing a recall whistle. The goose didn’t ignore me but came at me with beak open, standing on his tail and flapping his huge wings.
Gee…what did I do???
Y’all come back now!
WOW that goose meant business!!! I met some much nicer geese this weekend. But I guess yours just felt like it had to protect it's home and family.

Either the goose was trying to protect its nest, or it was trying to court you :)
ReplyDeleteWe agree with Kat, maybe protecting its' nest. Have a marvelous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Dog vs Goose. Interesting. I love how dog is not concerned in the least.
ReplyDeleteOh no. Were you too close to a nest? I hope you told that goose!
ReplyDeleteOMD....Dat big birdie was tryin to get ya!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking you got to close to a nest.
ReplyDeleteMy Jimmy is a self-appointed geese police member. No threat display would keep him back...But then he's never been pecked by a goose yet either. That might change his mind ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. Our mom is not crazy about the geese up here because 3 of the 5 of us love to eat goose poo and mom thinks thats just gross

Wow! I've never had a goose charge me...I bet that was scary.
ReplyDeleteI've found that you need to get not only your feet wet, but your whole tummy. Cools you down faster!
Yikes! Geese are scary!

Home Again! Bet it feels great...Those geese can be really protective...not as bad as swans though...the nesting swans here chase the humans not just the dogs...and they're big
ReplyDeleteLove how this is told from the dog's point of view, and the pictures are great.

Yikes! That was a close call.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! That would of totally scared me!
ReplyDeletePoor Hawk! I hope he didn't hurt you... perhaps just hurt your feelings a little, right?
