Hi Y’all,
Seems my Human has not been as diligent as she should have been with my daily instruction. So what that it is almost summer here and she has been busy fighting the battle with the weeds. She needs to spend more time practicing with me.
Sigh, seems like the time has come. I started responding incorrectly to signals that I’ve always known and responded correctly. A visit to my Chessie blog friends here. 2 Brown Dawgs does lots of hunting stuff. They do it for real and are really good. The Brown Dawgs have been doing a series on hunt tests. That’s how retrievers earn their hunting titles.
Of course my Human couldn’t keep her fingers
off the keyboard and mentioned that I was coming (recall) when she blew the whistle for a “stop look”. Some of the experienced people there said I needed to go back to kindergarten, so to speak.
Sigh.
So this weeks posts will show some of the highlights.

What's with us, Browndog? Mom says the same thing about me. I've back-slid. I need to FOCUS. Well, at least we'll get lots of treats.

We can't wait to read about your instruction. I think it must be partly Spring fever because we have had to go back a bit with Thunder to go forward. Hawk is having issues with too much recall and Thunder is slow to recall...lol. Always something to train!
It's amazing how fast those skills can go downhill without practice, practice, practice. But, I'm sure that you'll remember really fast once you get back in the swing of things. You're such a smart dog, Hawk!
