Sorrowfully the weekend is gone!
Some of y’all asked me what the big bird was and how was he sitting in the top of the tree. The big white bird is an Egret. Since it is a wading bird it has talons to grip the branches. 
In this picture below, taken earlier in the year, the feet show better.

Very cool bird!! I can't imagine seeing a bird that big in a tree. I've seen Bald Eagles before, but they were quite high and are no where near the size of the an Egret. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteWe get Egrets around here every once in a while. They are beautiful! We used to (about 23 years ago) have one that practically lived in our backyard. We hope you had an awesome weekend and have a great Monday!
