Serious Stuff

Hi Y’all!

P1010027

Let’s talk teeth again.

Life is so much better since I saw a dentist…no not a human’s dentist…a real live vet that specializes in dog teeth…that’s all he does! He put me to sleep and pulled a bad tooth.  My allergies have greatly improved.  I get to eat a greater variety of foods.  I no longer have to only have to eat prescription dog food.

Does your dog have flair ups of rashes or hot spots that require antibiotics and creams?  I had allergy tests that showed there wasn’t much to which I wasn’t allergic. Even sitting or laying in grass would break me out in a rash.  I was always getting ear infections and other infections.

If your dog suffers as I did, don’t stop with your vets diagnosis.

Did you know that they have discovered that many chronic illnesses suffered by humans originated with a bad tooth?

Did you know that dogs get gingivitis too? Just like people?

Find a vet who specializes in teeth, ah, dentistry.  Get your best friend checked if he/she is having chronic problems.

I see some birds arriving.  Come back tomorrow and check out what I see on my morning walk.

Y’all come back now!

  1. My little brother Scrappy wants me to thank you for this post on teeth, cause it got My Vickie to thinking that a bad tooth might be the reason Scrappys personality changed and how he slowed down on eating and wont eat the crunchy stuff.

So now, Scrappy is going to the Vet on Wednesday to have his teeth checked. It makes such good sense what you say.

  9. Seriously? A bad tooth can cause those problems? Is it an immune system thing? That is so cool that yanking your bad tooth brought you relief. Thanks for the heads up!

  10. Your Humans are the TOPS, Hawk. Even a little relief from suffering is wonderful. I hate anyone messing with me (even Mom), but I might let her look at my teeth after reading how this helped you!
