Hi Y’all!
Remember the birds that I showed you awhile back? The cormorants and seagulls that blackened the water, following the bait fish as they fled feeding stripers?
This was yesterday…
Then I noticed something strange…a new bird…
“Human”, I said. “Those aren’t seagulls!”
Most of you along the gulf coast should recognize these birds. Also those of you in the midwest on or near fresh water lakes will recognize them. We’re on the east coast and, if we’re lucky, might catch sight of a group flying overhead migrating inland to their breeding grounds.
Look closely at the bird in the above picture and you’ll see the black tips on the ends of his wings.
Stay tuned tomorrow! I saw something to really get Freighter, Storm and Thunder excited!
Y’all come back now!
You could almost walk across the water on all those birds.

The pelicans head here to fish from our lakes...They're such interesting birds to watch, and kind of comical...Love the golf cart...actually envy it :)

ReplyDeleteCool! I think the only time I've seen a pelican is at the zoo.
