Evening

Hi Y’all!

Even here in the mountains morning and evening hikes are the best.  This time of year the middle of the day is just too hot and muggy.

The thick heavy foliage lets the sun dapple the forest floor.

Today I picked up the scent and found the scat of a fox.

Y’all come back now!

  10. Hi there Hawk :) Looks like you are having fun!! A mutual friend of ours (24 Paws of Love) recommended I take a look at your blog, as you and my dog Jada have experienced similar issues with allergies. We are going through major vet intervention right now Jada (she's a min pin) for allergies in her paws. She too was afraid to walk in the grass. Here she has a bad infection in her paws. It is just her paws though, thankfully no "behind" issues :) We still aren't 100% positive what is causing them or that they are actual allergies, I have to wait for her check up next week at the vet to see what the next step is. So far so good though I have noticed a different. My vet also thought possible food allergies but she only ever gets like this in summer time and each year it gets worse. She already is vet prescribed food for her pancreatitis so we don't think it's from that. Anywho, sorry to talk your ear off, but I really don't have anyone to talk with about this besides in the blog world! Thank for listening! Just wanted to say hi! - Melissa & Jada
