Invader or Dinner Guest?

Hi Y’all,

The Humans were sitting down to dinner the other day, when I noticed a stranger on the lawn.  Alerting to the invasion, this is what I saw.

The stranger is a young white Ibis.  Usually you will find these birds poking in the mud for food, often crustaceans. This young fellow is feeding on large insects in our lawn.

Y’all come back now!

  3. Oh my Kodee would love to chase those long legged feathers! She gets so excited when she smells the lake is near she begins to shake as we approach lol.

  4. Wow - that's an impressive beak on that young fellow. I wouldn't get your tender nose to close to that if I were you!

  5. Your birds don't have squirrel friends! But your birds sure are pretty... I don't know how much complaining I'd do with them with those beaks! :)

  7. That's pretty cool. We get lots of birds, but they are the smaller variety.

  13. You'll let 'em slide as long as they aren't trying to feed on your toys, right, Hawk?!

  14. That's a very cool bird. I've never seen an Ibis before that I know of. Thank goodness that you alerted your family to the invasion!

You should hear how our dogs alert when a bear invades our territory!
