Hi Y’all,
The Humans were sitting down to dinner the other day, when I noticed a stranger on the lawn. Alerting to the invasion, this is what I saw.
The stranger is a young white Ibis. Usually you will find these birds poking in the mud for food, often crustaceans. This young fellow is feeding on large insects in our lawn.
Y’all come back now!

Hawk, you always have just the neatest birds! Thanks for sharing these cuties.
ReplyDeleteThose are some good looking dinner guests :)
ReplyDeleteOh my Kodee would love to chase those long legged feathers! She gets so excited when she smells the lake is near she begins to shake as we approach lol.
ReplyDeleteWow - that's an impressive beak on that young fellow. I wouldn't get your tender nose to close to that if I were you!
ReplyDeleteYour birds don't have squirrel friends! But your birds sure are pretty... I don't know how much complaining I'd do with them with those beaks! :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, how nice of them to join you for dinner!
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty cool. We get lots of birds, but they are the smaller variety.
ReplyDeleteHawk you have the greatest adventures.
ReplyDeleteWe need to invite that guy up to our cabin because we have A LOT of insects!
ReplyDeleteWe promise we wouldn't even try to chase him either.

Wow! So cool to see that when having dinner. : )
ReplyDeleteYou'll let 'em slide as long as they aren't trying to feed on your toys, right, Hawk?!

That's a very cool bird. I've never seen an Ibis before that I know of. Thank goodness that you alerted your family to the invasion!
ReplyDeleteYou should hear how our dogs alert when a bear invades our territory!
What a cool bird! You always share the best photos!
