Hi Y’all!
Yep, I’m still here at the shore.
Sigh…
Every day when I go outside I race over to check for my boat…it’s still not back. What’s wrong with it…remember when the boat stopped and I jumped off to save my Human? We had someone come and “fix” it. Turned out it still wasn’t fixed. So we had to take it out of the water and take it to a marine place. The problem was Ethanol, yep, that additive to your gas. It’s in all gasoline in this state. In some states it isn’t in marine gas.
Mogley read my post yesterday about Goldens and Labradors being on the list of 75 banned breeds. He was thinkin’ of getting a dye job. Trouble was he couldn’t find a breed to change to that wasn’t on the list. (If you missed the list find it HERE.)
Mogley, I suggest a soft perm and you can be an honorary Chessie. There are longer haired Chessies. You don’t see them much.
Over at Home is Where the Hounds Are, Beckett the Greyhound likes my garden. They would like to know if I only take care of the ball tree or
if I take care of the entire garden. I must be honest, I need Human help. However, I do patrol the entire garden and shoreline with my Human. I do a thorough inspection and let them know if anything is not up to standards.
I really feel for Kate at Twenty Six to Life. All of her dogs’ breeds are listed on the Breed Ban list.
Poor Kol over at Kol’s Notes says people mistake him for a Pit puppy ‘cause he’s little.
Now I have a question for you…why do you Humans have to ban us dogs? Why can’t you take responsibility for your behavior, your kid’s behavior and your dog’s behavior? Y’all yell about racial profiling. Isn’t that what you’re doing to us?
Y’all come back now!
Well said my friend.

Aren't boats a little big to just be losing them Hawk? Have you looked between the couch cushions? When the Mama looses something, it always seems to be there. **sigh** It's been one of those weeks at our house. There was a pitty who got into a tussle with another pup today. It was 110% the other dog who instigated the fight - and the pit is getting the blame. Poor pibble looks like a giant version of me. Can't stand the breed related witch hunt. This other dog is poorly trained and known to be vicious, but the pit will take the fall.
ReplyDeleteYou took the words right out of my mouth!
ReplyDeleteHope the boat comes back real soon.
Have a Happy 4th!
I have to admit I was dumbfounded when I saw newfs on the list. I actually did not realize there were such lists with so many breeds! Unreal. People need to know the dog, not the breed.
ReplyDeleteHopefully your boat will return soon and you can have the wind blowing in your face again soon. : )
You are spot on, Hawk. What the heck is going on with some people putting so many breeds on a banned list? And I agree--why the entire breed? I was really surprised to see Australian Shepherds on the list and not Border Collies. Maybe an Aussie herded someone's cat......
ReplyDeleteHope your boat gets back soon! Ethanol can gum up an engine really quickly.
Since you seem to be the prime boat captain, how did they take it without you knowing it? Did you let the paw challenged ones have the keys? That is a misteak! They don't bring things back like dogs do!

Well, in our home we have five golden retrievers and two morkies (half maltese/half yorkie). I didn't notice maltese or yorkie on the list and they are a lot more vicious than we are! You're right. It's discrimination!
ReplyDeleteAROOOOOF!
Boondocks and The Love Shack Pack
So that means I'm half on the list, since I'm Lab and Poodle. So...let's see if I turn sideways maybe I can disguise or make disappear my Lab side. My Poodle side can be very stoic so that helps a bit I guess...egads this is nerve wracking...winky wink
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Hawk. Punish the people, not the pet :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that greyhounds aren't on the list... yet. I'm all for banning certain humans from owning dogs, but banning breeds is totally stupid. I always say that if pit bulls were owned by greyhound adopters (so they lived indoors, kept on leash or fenced), they wouldn't make headlines.
ReplyDeleteHere, here, Hawk! Very well said!
