Hi Y’all,
Sometimes Humans take all the fun out of everything! Just when you find that yummy treat, the Human catches you!
Ah! Look what I found!
Yep! A yummy apple has fallen off the tree or out of a basket!
I’ll just act like I’m sniffin’ and grab it!
Oh, dear…here comes the Human!
Drop it? DROP IT!
Okay, I’ll drop it! Geese! Humans! Okay, I dropped it!
Tomorrow meet some more of my big friends.
Y’all come back now!
UGH! The two most hated words in the Doglish language "LEAVE IT". *sigh* Humans ruin everything.
ReplyDeleteI hear that 24/7 around here. No slippers, no stuff from mom's purse, no dirty laundry...where's the fun, I ask?

Awww... humans are no fun at all.
ReplyDeleteAmazing what the pups will decide is a yummy treat!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed that you didn't take it and run!

Skye is glad to hear that she isn't alone in that! Drop it seems to translate to "fun times are over" unless it comes to her own toys- then the fun is just beginning!
ReplyDeleteWhy do they say that? I think Hu-mans just don't know what's good.....
ReplyDeleteJam hates leave it as well. But as we just found out with Jam eating something that was dangerous, leave it is a very good command to know. 8-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by and joining up with the Blog hop. Hope you have a great weekend.

Oh no your humans made you drop a yummy apple? Don't they know we need special treats we find on the ground. Your humans can't even say that is a gross find. Hope you get the next treat! If you need help on how to do it just ask. ~Indiana
Oh, you're such a good dawg...we know what drop it and leave it mean, but we usually prefer to KEEP IT and RUUUUUUUUN!!!!

Glad to meet you, sorry you couldn't get the apple. Although apples are good for you, except for the seeds. Hope next time you find something else good to eat!
ReplyDeleteHi Hawk,
ReplyDeleteYes it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star.
I reckon you may have rediscovered gravity :) That's if that lil' ol apple fell out of a lil' ol' tree..
Pawsitive wishes and doggy kisses, your way, Penny xx
I refuse to learn that command... heh heh heh!

You got it lucky. When Chester snatches something he is not supposed to eat I grab his beak, pry his jaws open and stick my fingers in his mouth to dig it out. He is not as well trained as you are though :)
ReplyDeletehey there! i'm still cruising around from saturday's link-up (so many blogs, so little time!) and wanted to come say hi. that's a great job you did with leaving that apple. desmond would have taken it and ran off, for sure.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the reason why we want you to drop the things that you find or catch is because we don't want you to eat something that we aren't sure of. We don't want you to get harmed or ill. Please understand us sometimes.
