WOOF!!! To You Too!

Hi Y’all!

P1370376

Today I’m joining Thursday’s Barks and Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog.

P1370310

Last weeks Fit Dog Friday post was also this month’s See Beautiful post.  I had this question…

I bet the whole carnivore world screams SQUIRREL! now :o) Do you know what kind of flower you have in the second picture? It looks tasty somehow :o) Have a beautiful friday!

Beautiful! Nothing like being out in nature and just appreciating the beauty. ... and I'm sure that squirrel was appreciating whatever he was nibbling on! Lookied like a french fry! :)

That's a message we can't get often enough. All of the photos were great but how on earth did you get the squirrels like that/ those are downright amazing. Madi's right. Check out the "Your shot" page on NatGeo and start posting yours, they are terrific.

I’ll only show y’all one squirrel photo…

The fellow is eating a pear core.  I used a zoom lens to get the close up.

how great! and in sepia it looks really like one of Mr. Zeppelins flying machines! Would you like to take a ride in such a thingy? I'm not sure if I'm brave enough :o)

How cool is that?!?! We had one fly over our house when we lived out in the country years ago. It is such an unusual site! Would you ride in one?

JoAnn Stancer said...

What cool photos. Do you know why it was there?

P1370151

Yes, y’all…it was WAY cool! and I’d love to take a ride in it!  Do y’all think they’d let a pawed one pilot one?

As for where it was headed, I assume, since it was heading north, it was going to Pinehurst, NC for the U.S. Open Golf Tournament.

P1370143

Seems my Mischief Monday post befuddled a few of y’all…even my Human Papa didn’t “get it”.  Bad, Bad People was a poor choice of titles.

Oz has it figured out…the bad people thought I’d sneak into the water…they didn’t trust me.  My Human watched me like a, a, hawk!

Hawk, I believed you when you said you weren't going to try and sneak into the water. Why would you lie? I think there was something far more interesting in the woods...was there?
Happy Monday,
Oz

Your water's already too warm for cooling off? Omigoodness. We still have cool mornings here in Tulsa. It's been an odd couple of years, weather wise.

Temperatures haven’t been below 70 in more than a month.  The water in the low country warms quickly.

Warm water sounds wonderful to us! What did you sniff out Hawk? It sue had you smilin'!

Was there something good to sniff out Hawk? Have a marvellous Monday.

Hawk, you're on the trail of something! What is it??

I was just checking the beach to see who or what had been visiting.

Finally, about yesterday’s post

Oz theTerrier said...

No words for beautiful birds. Are those mockingbirds?!?
Have a happy WW, Hawk!

Oh, the Mockingbirds would be upset…they would never, ever enjoy these fishermen’s diet.  They are wading birds like their larger cousins.  They spear fish with their bill.  Being intelligent, they have been known use twigs as bait.  Both birds are green herons.  The brown one is an immature.  They nest here.

P1370391

One morning my Human saw one of the adults sitting on a limb of a dead tree, but she didn’t have her camera.

These birds tend to stay camouflaged in the tree leaves.  For years my Human has been trying to get a good shot of one of them.

And below is a photo of your common crow…

Y’all hurry back now!

  9. Hey Hawk, thanks for joining the blog hop!! Your human must have a good camera because even when I zoom in, I don't get the amazing shots she does. :-)

It sure looks like your enjoying yourself.

  13. Wow Hawk. There are green herons too? I don't think we have green herons here which is most likely why I was confused. Thanks for the lesson...it is learned!
