It seems while I was away the birds came to play!
These youngsters are getting their adult coloring. The white birds in the background are Cattle Egrets. They are feeding on the thousands of tiny frogs and bugs.
These are much younger goslings.
Sometimes it’s really tough living in a wildlife sanctuary.
Y’all come back now!

Those Cattle Egrets must be in heaven! And you're looking pretty happy there, too, Hawk!

We get a geese family in our 'hood every year! They come back to the same place. Looks like 3 adults and maybe 7 or 8 babies. They literally stop traffic in the morning!!

It must be especially tough to live in a bird sanctuary for a bird dog!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
Great Photos!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they only show up when your not around? :-)
I like your ducks!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Oscar would be in heaven chasing after them...for about two seconds. Then they'd fly away and never come back! Birds and squirrels don't stay long in our yard.
