Swelter Tuesday

Hi Y’all!

Whew!  I’ve been mostly layin’ around today.  It’s after 5pm and still 98 Fahrenheit!

Weather forecaster said it was going to over 100 degrees today and tomorrow!  It never topped 98 here at the shore.  There was a constant strong breeze.

There was no outside play or training.  We took a short morning walk and I was happy to come inside when the sun came up.   Nights cool off to the upper 70’s, so we’ll go for a walk around 9PM when temps drop into the 80’s.

Here I am checking on the balls on the tree from the shade of the golf cart.

Evening and everybody headin’ home.

I’d like to publicly thank two blogger friends for letting me know the reason for the huge amount of traffic many of us were experiencing.  They let friends know and the combined effort seems to have gotten the responsible site closed down.  First, a little fellow, Kol,  with a giant heart notified me and my Human.  Second, Bailey had posted complete directions on his blog.  Thanks y’all!

  1. You should visit us! We have been lucky to get in the 70's during the day and it has been getting down in the 40's or 50's at night. For some reason we are having a very cold summer. Great for the dogs, not so good for the garden. :(

  2. Gee, hope you get a break from the heat soon. That humidity stuff is no fun.

  3. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. Thunder is doing much better so we are cautiously optimistic.

High 90's and 100's is hot, (and no swimming to cool off--darn gators!) Hope you get a break soon.

  4. Keep out of the heat.

That is so cool that you get to ride in the golf cart.

Do you get to ride in the boat too?

  5. Send us some of your heat! We had snow in the mountains and cold rain in the city. One ski slope reported 6 inches of new snow. We are just happy we did not shed yet, we needed all the coat we could get. The first day of summer is not too hot this year.

  8. Hey y'all,
Yes, it's me, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star:)
Wow, those photos are awesome and make sure you stay cool. I've never known it that hot, here in lil' ol' England.
    Pawsitive wishes, Penny :)

  9. Listen, be careful in that heat please, Hawk. At least the evenings sound pleasant. You live in a lovely place and you are so fortunate to be able to out anytime...but the heat can be troublesome. Take care.

  10. OOOH, it gets really hot here, and on those days we either stay inside most of the day or play in the pool. Well, Nala doesn't play in the pool -- she hates water. Can you imagine such a thing?

It's so awesome that bad site got shut down. Mommy's keeping her eyes open though!

    Woofs & hugs,

    ~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)
