WOOF!!! To You Too!

Hi Y’all!

Today I’m joining Thursday’s Barks and Bytes Blog Hop hosted by 2 Brown Dawgs and Heart Like a Dog.

Last weeks Fit Dog Friday post was also this month’s See Beautiful post.  I had this question…

I bet the whole carnivore world screams SQUIRREL! now :o) Do you know what kind of flower you have in the second picture? It looks tasty somehow :o) Have a beautiful friday!

Both photos are of the same plant.  They are Cannas.

Beautiful! Nothing like being out in nature and just appreciating the beauty. ... and I'm sure that squirrel was appreciating whatever he was nibbling on! Lookied like a french fry! :)

That's a message we can't get often enough. All of the photos were great but how on earth did you get the squirrels like that/ those are downright amazing. Madi's right. Check out the "Your shot" page on NatGeo and start posting yours, they are terrific.

I’ll only show y’all one squirrel photo…

The fellow is eating a pear core.  I used a zoom lens to get the close up.

Hi Hawkeye, Your Flowers are TRULY beautiful. Is that white bird some sort of CRANE? Love the geese.
We SAW a LOT of BEAUTIFUL here buddy.

This fellow is a Great Egret.

How cool is that?!!!!!!

how great! and in sepia it looks really like one of Mr. Zeppelins flying machines! Would you like to take a ride in such a thingy? I'm not sure if I'm brave enough :o)

How cool is that?!?! We had one fly over our house when we lived out in the country years ago. It is such an unusual site! Would you ride in one?

JoAnn Stancer said...

What cool photos. Do you know why it was there?

Yes, y’all…it was WAY cool! and I’d love to take a ride in it!  Do y’all think they’d let a pawed one pilot one?

As for where it was headed, I assume, since it was heading north, it was going to Pinehurst, NC for the U.S. Open Golf Tournament.

Seems my Mischief Monday post befuddled a few of y’all…even my Human Papa didn’t “get it”.  Bad, Bad People was a poor choice of titles.

why are people bad?? why? :P

What did the bad people do? With the gators we are glad to hear you are staying away.

Oz has it figured out…the bad people thought I’d sneak into the water…they didn’t trust me.  My Human watched me like a, a, hawk!

Hawk, I believed you when you said you weren't going to try and sneak into the water. Why would you lie? I think there was something far more interesting in the woods...was there?
Happy Monday,

Your water's already too warm for cooling off? Omigoodness. We still have cool mornings here in Tulsa. It's been an odd couple of years, weather wise.

Temperatures haven’t been below 70 in more than a month.  The water in the low country warms quickly.

Warm water sounds wonderful to us! What did you sniff out Hawk? It sue had you smilin'!

Was there something good to sniff out Hawk? Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly

Hawk, you're on the trail of something! What is it??

I was just checking the beach to see who or what had been visiting.

Finally, about yesterday’s post

Oz theTerrier said...

No words for beautiful birds. Are those mockingbirds?!?
Have a happy WW, Hawk!

Oh, the Mockingbirds would be upset…they would never, ever enjoy these fishermen’s diet.  They are wading birds like their larger cousins.  They spear fish with their bill.  Being intelligent, they have been known use twigs as bait.  Both birds are green herons.  The brown one is an immature.  They nest here.

One morning my Human saw one of the adults sitting on a limb of a dead tree, but she didn’t have her camera.

These birds tend to stay camouflaged in the tree leaves.  For years my Human has been trying to get a good shot of one of them.

And below is a photo of your common crow…

Y’all hurry back now!

  1. Nice one Hawk. We were just thinking a ride in a Zeppelin would be fabulous. Have a tremendous Thursday.
    Best wishes Molly

  2. Thanks for the catch up post Hawk, like always Lady is hopelessly behind. We love all your pictures, they are so beautiful!

  3. Thank you for a great follow up with great pictures. Have a wonderful day.

  4. I missed the Sepia Good Year post. That was amazing. The squirrel is still rather freaky.

  5. I missed the Sepia Good Year post. That was amazing. The squirrel is still rather freaky.

  6. I had no clue that it could be the same plant lol. I'm sure they would like a pilot with paws... if you are the cox of that thingy I would fly with you the gators would be puzzled

  7. Great photos as always Hawk - love the sepia retro.

  8. Great photos! I always love how much wildlife you get to see in your area! And those cannas are beautiful - not sure I've ever seen those before.

  9. Hey Hawk, thanks for joining the blog hop!! Your human must have a good camera because even when I zoom in, I don't get the amazing shots she does. :-)

It sure looks like your enjoying yourself.

  10. Great follow up! I'm glad you clarified the bad people thing. I was a wee bit confused over that one!!
ღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!

  11. Awesome summary. I'm glad you hunted down our blog hop. I posted the Friday one too preemptively!

Happy Thoughtless Thursday, Ruckus the Eskie

  12. Thanks so much for joining the Barks and Bytes Hop! Ducks...the brown dawgs saw ducks!

I bet you are right about where the blimp was heading.

  13. Wow Hawk. There are green herons too? I don't think we have green herons here which is most likely why I was confused. Thanks for the is learned!

  14. I thought I recognized a green heron! We see them sometimes when out kayaking but I have never been able to get a good photo of one. Great job!
