Signs of Spring

Hi Y’all!

Yes, Spring is in the air!

We still have the occasional cool night, but this morning it was 63 degrees Fahrenheit when we took our before breakfast walk before daylight.  Dawn brought a rain storm and then it cleared to a beautiful sunny day.

The following are some of the sights I saw today!

Fishing boats heading out at dawn with man in short sleeves and shorts.

Sport boats zooming.

Camellias blooming.

Cherry blossoms too.

Then the sun lowered in the sky and the geese headed home to bed.

The setting sun turned the water an orange color.

Then one of them noticed me watching.

Then they all turned to assess the situation.

Then they discussed the situation.  In the meantime I stood still.

Then they decided to continue on their way home for the night.

All for now folks!

I’m exhausted! Can’t hold my eyes open…

  1. Ooooooooohhhhh, Cherry Blossoms! My favourite! I am so jealous of your springy weather!

  2. Hawkeye, you look so cute sleeping there after such a hard day tending your land. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it!!

  3. OMG...your world is fresh and gives us vicarious peeks into a real beautiful place. Thanks for this!

  4. Wow, spring really is coming. It just hasn't gotten this far north yet. I'll be watching for it.

Thanks, Hawk, for showing us what it looks like so we recognize it when it gets here.

  5. What a glorious walk you had! We love those signs of spring too, except it took a turn towards winter in the Pacific NW. Brrrrr

  6. Fabulous spring photos! The camelias and cherry blossoms look so colorful and pretty - especially since it's still all wintery here in various shades of gray and white! And you deserve a good rest after all of the sites you saw on your walk. Happy Saturday!

  7. Oooh, I have a case of the jealousies! It's snowing more here right now, ugh!

Thanks for sharing your spring with us!

    Nubbin wiggles,

  8. 63 degrees?! ahhh! can't wait for it to be that warm here in the northeast!

  9. Makes me wish I didn't have to look out my window and see messy wet melting snow.

What a wonderful place to be with a dog.

  10. You are certainly a lucky doggie! I am sure it looks like that here under all the snow....enjoy, my friend!

  11. Hi there,
A jolly good day to you. My goodness those are just some lovely photos. And, for sure, spring is starting to spring over here in 'lil' ol' England.
Even my friend, the 'springer spaniel' is getting all excited:)
    Have a most pawesome weekend!
Pawsitive wishes, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star. 'Arf, arf!' :)

  12. So pretty! I can't wait for Spring here. Still cold here, but we have sunshine today at least. Opie should get in a good walk to day!
Love the photos... love the geese!
    Your Pal,

  13. Delightful images of your day :)

Such a gorgeous place you live. Loved the pics of the geese. Priceless :)

  14. Gosh you live in a nice neighborhood, so do we, but we have snow on the ground. I don't like snow on my ground.

  15. Those are some beautiful blooms!

  16. I think we're right on the edge of spring around here. Maybe next weekend. Your photos are lovely.

I love that last photo. I just want to reach through the screen and give that belly a rub!

  21. I'm exhausted just looking at all the things you saw! Love the sunset/geese picture. :)

  22. Lovely photos. Thanks for sharing! We don't have many blooms here yet, but the crocuses that are blooming tell me that spring is getting closer, and I'm SO ready.
