Y’all Have Questions…I’ve Got Answers!

Hi Y’all,

My Humans always keep their promises to me!  Oh, I’m so excited!

If you look very closely, there in the sun that shines through the break in the trees, it’s me!

Now, to solve the mystery.  While we were stopped in the rest stop, a very dear friend succumbed to cancer.  We were on our way to the mountains where the friend lived with his wife.  Family tried to get us, but we’d already left the low country and the cell phones weren’t turned on.

When we arrived in the high country my Humans left me alone and went to the friends home.  Then they were busy taking care of human stuff.

When they weren’t busy because of the friend’s death, they had to visit other friends and family who they hadn’t seen in awhile.  The really sad part is that it left my two pawed friends without their papa.

Once my Humans had some time to themselves, off we went out to visit the farm and hike through the woods.  Yes!

Now, I have another question I need to answer regarding honey.  Jess and Glacier  (visit here) asked about a comment made  about the teaspoon of honey I eat everyday.  By the way the Humans get a teaspoon each too.  Local, unprocessed, unpasteurized honey is excellent to aid allergies.

Bees make the honey from the local flowers and these include the blossoms on weeds.  If you buy honey in the grocery store, you won’t get really local honey and most of it has been pasteurized.  When you pasteurize honey or milk or whatever, you heat it to high temperatures which kills the good enzymes.

Those of you living in a city will have to inquire outside the city to locate someone who keeps bees and sells honey.  Sometimes the local farmers market will have someone who keeps hives and offers their honey for sale.

Y’all come back now.
